Journey to Healing-Part 5-Held By Jesus

Journey to Healing-Part 5-Held By Jesus

June 8, 2021

“How did you have time for that?” was the question I was most often asked when I was in a season of praying in my prayer closet for up to ten hours or more a day!  You see, I was desperate for any sliver of hope in my healing journey.  I had zero strength in my body to fight anymore.  The only function I could do was to crawl to my prayer closet and lay on the floor with Jesus, sobbing in pain, begging God to heal my body and broken heart.  I had completely let go of the rope of hope with no strength left, but I am convinced that Jesus held me tight in His arms. I heard Jesus say, “Come daughter let me hold you.  Come lay your head down on me and rest here with me.  I’ve got you.  You are not forgotten.”

Sweet sister, your desperate cries for help are not unheard.  God’s love for you cannot be matched.  Think of how much you adore your babies, God delights in you even more!  Jesus longs for the day when you will be pain free and He will be able to twirl you around and walk with you hand in hand among the lilies.

Whenever I’m in despair, I’m reminded of Hannah in the Bible.  Her anguish and pleading moved the heart of God.  Her cries were heard by her Heavenly Father, and He was moved to act on her behalf.  The Lord remembered her.  He did not forget her but had compassion for her.

Mamas, are you desperate for hope and healing like I was?  Are you feeling alone or forgotten and have no strength left in your season of suffering or are weighed down by life?

Jesus is reaching His hand out to you right now, inviting you to come sit with Him.  Let His loving arms wrap you up in His warmth.  You are His beloved daughter and He takes delight in you and sings over you.  Let His ever-loving care wash over you and bring a bright smile to your face.

Does sitting with Jesus in your secret place seem like a sacrifice, especially with little ones?  Enjoy the freedom to just sit and be still, there is no need to have it all figured out!  Being in His presence is all the strength you need for this day.  Take His hand.  Come sit for a while.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” —Isaiah 41:10 ESV

“But Zion said, ‘The Lord has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me.’  ‘Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?  Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.  Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.” —Isaiah 49:14-16 ESV
